Michael Huyghue & Associates now representing LPGA Tour golfer, Amelia Lewis
Michael Huyghue & Associates is proud to announce the representation of Jacksonville native and LPGA golfer, Amelia Lewis. Since turning pro in 2010, Amelia has a combined ten top-10 finishes and seventeen top-15 results on the LPGA and Ladies European Tours. Amelia became the first Jacksonville native to gain fully exempt status on the LPGA Tour since 1982. The following year, she became the first ever Jacksonville native to hold tour cards on both the LPGA Tour and Ladies European Tour.
“Amelia is the first LPGA player our firm has ever represented. Typically, we work with PGA and Web.com players. Amelia is such a special talent but, more importantly, we felt compelled to work with her because she is an outstanding person. We are thrilled that she chose us to help manage her professional and business career,” said President Michael Huyghue.
As a fifth-generation graduate of The Bolles School, Amelia has deep ties to the Jacksonville community, where she still resides. Following a successful amateur career at Bolles as a three time All-First Coast Player of the Year (’06, ’07, ’08), Amelia attended the University of Florida. After spending one year at Florida, she decided to turn professional at age 19. She was ranked #3 women’s amateur by Golfweek when she turned professional.
Amelia is also a strong advocate of growing the game of golf and stays very active in the junior golf community. In 2016, Amelia began hosting the Amelia Lewis Girl’s National Championship, which is the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour’s only championship exclusive to girls. She provides a unique perspective and passes along invaluable advice to young golfers who aspire to follow in her footsteps.
